Cornus alba has darker leaves - this one is a cultivar "var. Aurea". Not really a wild plant but put in here for interest. Common Dogwood also has darker leaves, but in particular they are narrower and a bit wavy and only have around 5 lateral veins, not 6 (can be more) as here.
